Kelsey D. Garmendia, 24, is an alumnus of the State University of New York at New Paltz. She obtained a Bachelors Degree inEnglish with a concentration in Creative Writing. Garmendia is featured in Confettifall, Embodied Effigies, Penduline Press, The Stonesthrow Review, My Unfinished Novel, Poydras Review, and Midnight Screaming. She also has four self-published novels: Burn Our Houses Down, If I Lose and Painted Red are part of a book series as well as Disenchanted which is a stand-alone. Besides writing, she has sports photography published on the student-run journalism site, The Little Rebellion.

Garmendia also played varsity volleyball for the New Paltz Hawks all four years of her college career. She has been a Resident Assistant during the last two years of her college career, a lifeguard at Rocking Horse Ranch of Highland, N.Y and interned at The Hudson Valley Renegades Pitch for Kids.

She currently resides in Carbondale, I.L. with her husband, two dogs, and two cats.
